The Assembly + Test Technician role provides a structured career path from Trainee to 1st Class, with increasing responsibility, autonomy, and technical complexity. This position supports the assembly, testing, and quality verification of pneumatic and hydraulic units for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities
Scope of Duties
The scope of duties grows with each career level, as outlined below.
Common Responsibilities — All Levels
- Review drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions to prepare work.
- Gather and organize parts, tools, and materials.
- Position, secure, and assemble sub-assemblies using hand tools, fixtures, and machines.
- Use chemicals, adhesives, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks safely.
- Inspect parts and assemblies using calibrated precision instruments and gauges.
- Record labor time and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Report nonconforming materials or questionable conditions.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas; preserve machines and tooling.
- Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

- Assist and collaborate with other team members.
Level-Specific Responsibilities
Trainee
- Work under direct supervision on low-complexity assemblies.
- Focus on learning assembly sequences, tools, and safety practices.
- Gain familiarity with basic inspection and documentation procedures.
3rd Class Technician
- Work under direct supervision with increasing independence on low-complexity units.
- Demonstrate consistent accuracy in assembly and inspection.
- Begin contributing ideas to process improvements.
2nd Class Technician
- Work under general supervision on low- to medium-complexity units.

Mentor, coach, and train new hires and colleagues to build capability, reinforce best
practices, and foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive culture that encourages
collaboration and positive interactions across the team. - Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and recommend improvements.
1st Class Technician
- Work under minimal supervision on medium- to high-complexity units.
- Assemble and test units using hydraulic test stands and other specialized equipment.
- Accurately document test results and troubleshoot assembly or testing issues.

Qualifications & Experience

Compensation & Career Growth
- Salary Range: $22.00 – $35.00 hourly
- Career progression from Trainee → 3rd Class → 2nd Class → 1st Class reflects increasing skill, responsibility, and impact
- Candidates may be considered for higher or lower levels based on experience and demonstrated value
