A leading landing gear manufacturer had designed in a competitor company’s 0.375 in OD Pilot Operated Check Valve. Completed system design yielded an unstable studdering extension of the landing gear. The system design required the addition of a relief valve and restrictor in series with the pilot operated check valve.

AUSCO responded with a unibody combination valve that included the check valve and relief valve functions. Additionally, AUSCO Engineering was able to incorporate a hydraulic timing function which enables the relief valve to hydro-mechanically close in a delayed predictable period. All of the above were accomplished in the same envelope of our competitor’s pilot-operated Check Valve.
