About the Role
The Inspection job family is responsible for verifying that component parts and finished assemblies comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This career path progresses from hands-on inspection execution to technical leadership and inspection team supervision.

Common Responsibilities — All Inspection Levels
- Inspect component parts and assemblies per engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Perform in-process, first piece, and final inspections.
- Use standard inspection equipment and methods, including CMM where applicable.
- Create, update, and maintain Inspection Record Masters.
- Document inspection results accurately and completely.
- Issue Nonconformance / Rejection reports when required.
- Support customer and third-party visits as needed.
- Maintain proper care and calibration awareness of inspection equipment.

- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
Level-Specific Responsibilities
Quality Inspector
- Perform routine and moderately complex inspections with established methods.
- Utilize CMM and standard inspection tools for part verification.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections at detail and top level.
- Conduct valve final inspections.
- Apply mathematical skills, including interpolation of characteristics.
- Support inspection documentation updates.
- Work under established procedures with limited guidance.
Senior Quality Inspector
- Perform complex inspections requiring advanced interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Program and optimize CMM inspection routines.

Mentor, coach, and train new hires and colleagues to build capability, reinforce best
practices, and foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive culture that encourages
collaboration and positive interactions across the team. - Develop and improve inspection methods and techniques.
- Support customer Delegated Representative inspections.
- Interface with Operations and Management to support inspection needs.
- Participate in inspection process improvement initiatives.
Lead Inspector
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Inspection department.

collaboration and positive interactions across the team. - Maintain control of Inspection department workflow and priorities.
- Serve as primary inspection interface with Operations and Management.
- Support customer and third-party audits and visits.
- Approve and oversee inspection methods and documentation.
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and utilized.
- Perform inspection duties as required to support department needs.
Qualifications & Experience
All Levels Require
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with company, customer, and regulatory safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to support business needs outside normal hours.
- Travel as required for training or business purposes.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods, up to 8–10 hours per shift.
Compensation & Career Growth
- Salary range: $22.00 – $45.00 hourly.
- Career progression to Senior Inspector and Lead Inspector with increasing skill, responsibility, and impact.
- Candidates may be considered for higher or lower levels based on experience and demonstrated value.
